PEARLtec tecnology – Tirosint®

IBSA laboratories have patented the PEARLtec technology, that offers an innovative solution to improve oral absorption of drugs with difficulty in solubility. Through soft capsules (softgels), it encloses a liquid matrix, in suspension or gel, in a shell of soft jelly, allowing a better intake of the drug and patient compliance. The capsules (softgel) are visually inspected one by one in order to eliminate all imperfections.

PEARLtec technology enables precise dosing, turboemulsifier machining and controlled encapsulation ensure the quality of the final product. In addition, it allows to take a liquid solution in solid form, ideal for formulations at very low concentrations to ensure uniformity of dosage and ease of intake for the patient.

Since 2018, there has been a new Department in IBSA fully dedicated to Business Development, Licensing activities and CDMO projects. Licensing The Business Development Dept. is constantly looking for partners and international distributors for licensing agreements in countries where IBSA does not operate directly with its branches. IBSA is focused on strategic collaborations to achieve a common goal while sharing responsibilities, resources, risks and rewards.
